Final notes

  • Well, I hope you might have found something interesting in this tutorial. I've tried to be as readable and plain as possible. Please, keep in mind though, this is NOT a resource prêt-à-porter. This is mostly aimed to help you cut down the time required to learn how to use GD library functions to create dynamic images. In other words, I just tried to write a (hopefully) good enough resource for those wanting to learn a bit of PHP programming. Please, don't ask me basic questions. I can only help you if you really wish to learn, so first, you have to experiment for yourself. I hope you may understand.

  • Remember that most of the code in the sig/includes/dynamic_gd_image.php script is dependent on my own implementation. Depending on your own needs, you might need to adapt some bits there. You may even try to do it using a more object oriented approach. I tried to make it as simple as possible for the purpose of this tutorial.
